Yes, Summer Is Coming!

There’s a lot to look forward to this summer in addition to the Stonington Farmers Market, one of the biggest and best in Maine. Fisherman’s Friend and the Harbor View are getting a new look (read about it here). The Pilgrim’s Inn in Deer Isle has new owners, as does the Inn on the Harbor. (Read about it here.)

Here’s where 44 North Coffee will reside this summer in Deer Isle, along with their cafe in Stonington and their tent at the Stonington Farmers Market.

Deer Isle Village is coming to life, with new owners at the Pilgrim’s Inn (read about it here) and 44 North Coffee moving to Main Street from the Seamark building. (They’ll still have their popular cafe in Stonington as well, and you’ll see them on Saturdays at the Stonington Farmers Market.)

A revitalized Deer Isle-Stonington Chamber of Commerce has new plans for summer events in both towns. And, of course, a full menu of events will be offered by the Opera House, the public libraries in Deer Isle and Stonington, the Island Heritage Trust and the Deer Isle Artists Association, not to mention all the galleries on the island. So watch this space to help plan your glorious summer.
