One of the first things you’ll notice when you arrive May 22nd at the Stonington Farmers Market (open rain or shine from 10AM to Noon) is the variety of goods you can find with us.
A bazaar of color from Guatemala anchors the corner of the midway aisle and the main corridor of our market. That’s the booth belonging to Morningstar Seafood and the nonprofit Guatemala Housing Alliance. Nancy and her siblings started this humanitarian organization after both parents had passed away as an impetus to keep their family focused on a common goal since their mom was no longer around to hold them together. It worked! And what a wonderful way to honor father and mother (it is Mother’s Day after all).
