Series of seven classical concerts opens June 10, runs through September, and may be purchased as a series
STONINGTON – Opera House Arts’ (OHA) proudly announces the launch of Stonington’s own chamber music series, “Chamber at the Church,” Tuesday nights at 7 p.m., at its Burnt Cove Church facility beginning Tuesday, June 10. OHA has booked an eclectic group of musicians and programs for this seven-evening series, with a focus on high quality, traditional chamber music as well as improvisational and contemporary classical works. OHA is offering the series at either a seven-concert subscription rate or as a four concert Flex Pass/Choose Your Concerts series. The program opens June 10 with Summertime: A Violin and Piano Recital featuring pianist Dr. Anastasia Antonacos and violinist Richard Hsu in an enchanting program of summer classical favorites, including highlights from Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess arranged for violin and piano as well as violin sonatas by Debussy and Beethoven, and piano solos by Cecilia. Antonacos, who has toured and received awards internationally, was named one of the most 100 influential people in Portland, ME by The Portland Phoenix.
