Attention vendors and customers to the Stonington Farmers Market. We have very narrow streets throughout Stonington and it has been brought to our attention by the town officials that we have a problem. When cars are parked on either side of Highland it creates a narrow passage that makes it difficult for the large delivery trucks to pass on their way to and from town. The City of Stonington has put up “No Parking” signs where they DON’T want you to park. We ask that everyone who supports the farmers market to adhere to these signs so we do not get into trouble with the town. NOTE: We have been told that the big field across from the market IS going to be prepared for us to park there (eventually). Plans to create proper drainage in the field are underway so that when it’s done we can all park in the field. Meanwhile thank you for your patience and cooperation.
